The fight against Rosebank: together, we can win!

The recent legal ruling against the Rosebank oil field was a massive victory for climate action, proving that people power works. But the fight is not over yet! As Parents for Future Scotland, we are stepping up during MP/MSP Action Week (3rd - 9th March 2025) to turn this temporary win into a permanent victory.

Rosebank must be stopped for good!

Rosebank is the UK’s largest undeveloped oil field. Its approval was a disaster for the climate, pushing us closer to dangerous global warming levels. Extracting oil from Rosebank would have released more CO₂ than the world’s 28 poorest countries produce in an entire year. We cannot let this happen!

Thanks to public pressure and legal action, the UK government’s approval of Rosebank was declared unlawful. This is a huge step forward, but the oil industry isn’t giving up. Companies like Equinor are still pushing to drill, and it’s up to us to keep up the momentum and stop them in their tracks!

Parents, this is our moment!

As parents, we have a powerful voice — and when we unite, we can create real change. Our children deserve a safe, thriving planet, not one devastated by climate chaos. The effects of climate change — flooding, heat waves, and food insecurity — are already harming families worldwide.

This is our chance to act and ensure a better future for our children. We have the power to stop Rosebank and demand a cleaner, fairer energy system.
