Designed to meet the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence and endorsed by Glasgow and Edinburgh City Councils, our free air pollution programme supports teachers who are tasked with learning for sustainability AND offers an exciting opportunity for teachers looking to develop their role and demonstrate competence in environmental issues.

  • Three easy-to-deliver lessons suited to all three primary levels and encompassing research, investigation and action

  • Five flexible lesson plans at secondary level, best suited to broad general education for levels S1-S3 and easily tailored to suit teacher specialisms

  • Parent talks delivered by our volunteer speakers – supporting children’s work and encouraging them to take action with their parents in the community

  • Celebration of children’s work at Glasgow or Edinburgh City Chambers – rewarding pupils for their work, amplifying their voices and raising the profile of the school 

  • Content fulfils UNCRC article 12 – respect for children’s views; UNCRC article 24 – health, water, food and environment; UN SDG 3 – ensure healthy lives; UN SDG 10 – reduce inequality; and UN SDG 11 – making the places people live safe, inclusive and sustainable
